Our History

About Aras Kargo

We laid the foundations of Aras Kargo in 1989 by deciding to leverage our distribution network strength—originally established through Aras Dağıtım ve Pazarlama, founded by Celal Aras in 1979—in the transportation sector as well. Enhancing our service quality since our inception through the innovations we introduced to the sector, we continue our synergy with Austrian Post, which began with a 25% stake in 2013 and has evolved today into an 80% majority stake held by Austrian Post. With our strength of 14 regional directorates, 28 transfer centers, nearly 1,000 branches, 2,000 Aras Burası points, and employment for approximately 16,000 people, we knock on an average of 1 million doors daily.

Since 2016, we have transformed from an operations company into a technology company through our end-to-end technology investments, and we continue our endeavors with the goal of designing the cargo experience of the future.

Creating a brand-new cargo experience through technology investments, we have today become one of the industry's most significant players driving business through automation, thanks to our investments implemented in line with changing consumer expectations. As Aras Kargo, we provide service to tens of thousands of corporate customers. We stand as one of the most preferred and trusted business partners in the e-commerce sector.

As a company pioneering transformation, we continue to contribute to the environment, society, and the economy, and to generate value for the Turkish economy. In 2021, we signed the UN Global Compact, the world's largest corporate sustainability initiative. With the roadmap we call our Sustainability Route, we have set our course toward zero carbon. We take pride in publishing the industry's first sustainability report in September 2022, with the goal of carrying whatever is good and valuable today into tomorrow across all our activities.
