Aras Kargo, a company that is making a significant impact in the logistics industry through the implementation of innovative projects, is currently expanding its operations in Europe with Aras Digital, and building on the success already achieved in Türkiye with the integration of parcel lockers. Aras Digital has developed software that allows logistics companies to integrate with parcel lockers seamlessly and marked the first use of this innovative solution in Slovakia. Work is underway for the commissioning of similar projects in Hungary, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Croatia, and Austria in the near future.

The European logistics giant Austrian Post Office, which also includes Türkiye's leading shipping company Aras Kargo, is taking parcel locker networks to the next level for its subsidiaries in Europe with an innovative and environmentally friendly approach in collaboration with Aras Digital. Aras Digital is committed to streamlining processes and enhancing customer experiences through its service-oriented approach. The company is also taking significant steps towards establishing a global brand identity, with new products and projects developed in collaboration with the Austrian Post Office and its subsidiaries. With the launch of the new Locker Operating System (LOS) software developed by Aras Digital, a substantial evolution is on the horizon for the network of environmentally friendly parcel lockers.

During this transition, we have adapted all aspects of our business, including distribution, delivery, operations, and customer experience, in alignment with evolving consumer expectations. We concentrated our efforts on optimizing the management of operational data with the use of cutting-edge artificial intelligence applications. This has enabled us to deliver personalized, adaptable, and user-centric services. Today, Aras Digital is exporting its technological solutions to Europe. We develop and implement turnkey solutions for Aras Kargo and Austrian Post Office subsidiaries in eight countries in Central and Eastern Europe. Our productization and commercialization of technology solutions allows us to provide these clients with the best solutions for their unique needs. The software features a tracking system which displays the current locations of the lockers and their remaining capacity. It is our hope that this software will prove beneficial to both logistics companies and parcel locker manufacturers by encouraging the wider use of lockers across Europe.”

He noted that the solar-powered cabinets allow for positioning in locations without an electricity grid and continued: “All logistics companies integrated with our system are eligible to utilize these parcel lockers, subject to the terms of their commercial agreements. For users who prefer these lockers as delivery points for online purchases, the system also allows them to track their orders. Furthermore, this system enables logistics companies to streamline their delivery processes. Our project, which has the objective of being rolled out across Europe, was first launched in Slovakia with the valuable contributions of Jan Ťurek, General Manager of Slovak Parcel Services, and his team. We anticipate that it will also be used in Hungary, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Croatia, and Austria in the near future, where the Austrian Post Office has subsidiaries.” During the product development process, the Austrian Post Office and its subsidiaries contributed valuable input as part of a global team, said Akkuş. He added that their objective is to make a positive impact in the logistics sector through collaboration and a common-sense approach.

The introduction of eco-friendly delivery lockers has eliminated the need for electricity in traditional delivery lockers. These lockers are not dependent on an electrical connection and are powered by solar energy, enabling them to remain operational for extended periods. Their highly efficient batteries and optimized system, developed by Aras Digital, ensure maximum efficiency. The eco-friendly lockers are designed to remain operational in all weather conditions due to their battery-powered functionality. They are optimized for minimal energy consumption through the system developed by Aras Digital, offering 24/7 accessibility.

LOS provides a cutting-edge solution to streamline delivery locker management, offering enhanced features for remote control operations. LOS provides the capability to operate delivery lockers manufactured by various providers through a single software solution, enabling rapid and cost-effective development of additional features. LOS also provides sustainable network management by monitoring battery levels, thereby reducing energy consumption.
